BACKGROUND

Caryl Baker is a career woman, wife, mother and grandmother - a woman who understands the needs of women of many ages and lifestyles. She has gone from model to mother to company president while always striving to maintain a healthy balance between career and family.

PERSONAL GOALS

In 1969, Caryl Baker's goal was to design a line of professional skin care and cosmetic products. As a former fashion model/teacher, she wanted the line to be suitable not only for the demands of the actress/model but for all women. She slowly developed her line of products that has expanded to over 300 color cosmetics, specialty skin care products and beauty treatments.

Caryl also strived to make her approach to business unique and exciting for her clients. She created the idea of the free makeover, and still offers every client a complete skin analysis and beauty makeover. Her philosophy has always been "We can teach you more about beauty in one hour than you'll learn in a lifetime of shopping at cosmetic counters, and best of all - it's free!"

Over the years, Caryl has developed a number of other innovative ideas. One of these is the Caryl Baker Visage Beauty Club, established in 1977, which has since provided membership gifts and discounts to more than 500,000 members. Caryl's initiatives have included the the Power Facial, the Professional Peel, Microdermabrasion, Photofacials with Facial Lift, our luxurious Hand Treatment, the relaxing Collagen Herbal Eye Treatment, the Deep Sea Purifying Facial, and the Herbal Bliss Facial. These moderately-priced Caryl Baker Visage salon services help clients look good, feel good, de-stress and feel pampered after a hectic day.

BUSINESS

Caryl Baker began franchising her salons in order to provide ambitious women the opportunity to own and operate their own businesses, and at the same time to give Caryl Baker Visage clients the comfort of meeting dedicated professionals at each and every salon. The profile of a Caryl Baker Visage franchisee is a woman who has an interest in helping other women achieve their personal best and who has a passion for customer sales and service. The Caryl Baker Visage concept has attracted and inspired many to become successful business women and has provided opportunities to fulfill their own dreams and goals.

Caryl is very active in the day-to-day operations of the company. As a working president, she develops new promotional ideas and concepts for the salons, including the seasonal introduction of new color cosmetics. She also develops and introduces advanced skin care and treatment products to keep the Caryl Baker Visage line current and to provide the very best for her clients.

COMMUNITY

Caryl believes that it is important to look beyond the corporate bottom line and to find ways to help your community. Donating time and money to charity is an important mandate for every company and Caryl has chosen the Starlight Children's Foundation as our corporate charity. As a trustee of the Starlight Children's Foundation, Caryl Baker has helped introduce several promotions with the proceeds going towards granting wishes to seriously-ill children. Caryl heads a bi-annual Mother/Daughter Makeover Day at which teens and their mothers can share some special moments and have fun.
