Most of us can’t even imagine being 101-years-old let alone being 101 and getting our ears peirced for the first time. Well that is exactly what Viola “Dolly” Arnold did at our Caryl Baker Visage Devonshire Mall location in Windsor, Ontario by owner Ken Gayowsky.
Viola “Dolly” Arnold never really thought about getting her ears pierced until she approached her 101st birthday.
“Ow,” she said Wednesday as she took the piercing plunge at the Caryl Baker Visage Cosmetics Salon at Devonshire Mall.
The momentary pinch was worth it, she said afterwards. Arnold, who turns 101 in a few days, decided to get her ears pierced about a week ago after a staff member at Huron Lodge suggested it. After all, it’s different now, Arnold said. “Everybody has them done.”
A small crowd of shoppers, media and staff cheered when she showed off her sparkling studs Wednesday morning.
The salon did the piercing for free and gave her the 14-cart gold, diamond-look earrings and a bouquet of flowers. Arnold planned to top her piercing with lunch and shopping at the mall.

In order to feature all of our fabulous products we had to re-shoot our entire line of Caryl Baker Cosmetics & Skin Care products (over 300 product shots were taken!) Here is one of our mascara’s on set working it for the camera…
Of course we had to get new shots of Caryl Baker herself! Looking lovely as ever we may add!
